3.17 Tamper Detection

The PIC32CM SG00/GC00 microcontroller has a Real-Time Counter (RTC) that typically runs continuously to keep track of time. The RTC can wake up the device from sleep modes using the alarm or compare wake up, periodic wake up or overflow wake up mechanisms, or from the wake inputs.

The PIO PB08 is used as the RTC security tamper input pin (RTC/IN[5]), and the PIO PB10 is used as the RTC security tamper output pin (RTC/OUT[5]).
