4.7 Setting Project Properties
When the project was opened, you may have noticed information in the Output window about compiler and device family pack (DFP) versions (see figure below). You can update these versions in the Project Properties window.
In the Projects window, right click on the project name to drop down a menu and select Properties. When the Project Properties window opens you may see something similar to the figure below, depending on your release of MPLAB X IDE, compiler, and DFP.
The following items need to be addressed:
- Select the AVR128DA43 Curiosity Nano from the Connected Hardware Tool drop-down list.
- If the version of the DFP used to develop this example is not installed in your MPLAB X IDE, you may install it (click on Resolve) or choose to use a newer version of the DFP.
- If you have a newer version of the MPLAB XC8 installed on your system, you may choose to use that version. If you don’t have the version used to develop the example (2.20), you can either download it or use a newer version.
The project setting used in the example is shown in the figure below.
