46.4.1.2 External Count with External Up/Down
Mode
In this mode, the QEA/EXTCNT input is considered as an external count signal, and the
QEB/DIR/GATE input provides the count direction information. The count direction is positive
unless overridden by the CNTPOL bit (QEIxCON<3>). The following figure illustrates the
