3.18.8 MIPI CSI/DSI Interface

The SAM9X75 cHybrid embeds a 4-lane MIPI D-PHY for interfacing with CSI-compatible cameras and DSI-compatible displays.

The board features a 22-pin FPC/FFC connector (J8) with a 0.5 mm pitch, similar to the one used for the Raspberry Pi® Compute Module boards. Four-lane MIPI cameras can connect to the board directly, while official RPi 2-lane cameras and displays require a 22 to 15-pin FPC adapter. For 4-lane MIPI displays, an adapter is required due to various non-standard connector pinouts across different manufacturers. Additional GPIOs and a TWI interface are provided for camera/display control.

The following figure shows the MIPI CSI/DSI camera and display interface.
