12.12 Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) Threshold

The Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) threshold parameter values represent the IS187x device using the thresholds to determine if there is enough of a change in the link quality to notify the external host MCU. These threshold values, normal and weak, work together with the link quality indication signal parameter. For more details, refer to Link Quality Indication. For details on how the IS187x device uses these parameters to provide link quality indication to an external host MCU, refer to the BM70/71 Bluetooth® Low Energy Module User’s Guide (DS50002542).

The user can use these threshold values only after configuring the device to work in Auto Operation mode and enabling the link quality indication parameter. If the programming values are not within the valid range, an undefined device operation results.
