21.1.3 Time Base
The SMTxTMR is the 24-bit counter/timer used for measurement in each of the modes of the
SMT. It can be reset to 0x000000 by setting the RST bit of the SMTxSTAT register. It can be written to and read by software.
It is not guarded for atomic access, therefore reads and writes to the SMTxTMR may be
made when the GO =
0.The counter can be prevented from a rollover using the STP bit in the SMTxCON0 register. When STP = 1,
SMTxTMR will remain equal to SMTxPR. When STP = 0, SMTxTMR resets to
0x000000.
