18.2.4 Sleep Mode

A falling edge at LIN_EN switches the IC into Sleep mode. While in Sleep mode, the transmission path is disabled and the device is in Low-Power mode. Supply current from VBAT is typically 9 µA. In Sleep mode, the LIN_INH pin is switched off. The internal termination between the LIN_BUS pin and LIN_VDD pin is disabled.

Only a weak pull-up current (typically 10 µA) between the LIN_BUS pin and LIN_VDD pin is present. Sleep mode can be activated independently from the actual level on the LIN_BUS or LIN_WKIN pin.

If the LIN_TXD pin is short-circuited to LIN_VSS, it is possible to switch to Sleep mode via LIN_EN after t> tdom.
