25.5.10 Baud Register
Ongoing transmissions by the transmitter and receiver will be corrupted if the baud rate is changed during communication. Writing to this register triggers an immediate update of the baud rate prescaler. For more information on how to set the baud rate, refer to Table 25-1.

Bits 15:8 – BAUD[15:8] USART Baud Rate High Byte
This bit field holds the MSB of the 16-bit Baud register.
Bits 7:0 – BAUD[7:0] USART Baud Rate Low Byte
This bit field holds the LSB of the 16-bit Baud register.
