18.1.6 Enable Input Pin (LIN_EN)
The enable input pin controls the Operating mode of the device. If LIN_EN is high, the circuit is in Normal mode, with transmission paths from LIN_TXD to LIN_- BUS and from LIN_BUS to LIN_RXD both active.
If LIN_EN is switched to low while LIN_TXD is still high, the device is forced to Sleep mode. No data transmission is then possible and current consumption is reduced to IVSsleep, typically 9 µA.
The LIN_EN pin provides a pull-down resistor to force the transceiver into Recessive mode if LIN_EN is disconnected.
