5.17.12 Breakpoint Resource Usage

Hardware debuggers (e.g., in-circuit debug tools) support a limited number of breakpoints. The number of breakpoints available is dependent on the device selected. To see the number of breakpoints available and keep track of the number you have used, see the Dashboard window (8.5 Dashboard Display).

The following MPLAB X IDE features use breakpoints to accomplish their functions.


	Step Over
	Step Out
	Run to Cursor
	Reset to Main

If you attempt to use one of these features when no breakpoints are available, a dialog will be displayed telling you that all resources are used.
