3.6.2.4.12 SOC_DMA_ENGINE
(Ask a Question)This is an SoC integration parameter to allow integrating HLS-generated modules into a custom user-defined SmartDesign system. The parameter specifies the type of DMA engine to use in the system for transferring data to/from HLS modules.
DMA Engine | Description |
---|---|
HARD_DMA | Uses the DMA available in the PolarFire® SoC MSS. This implies that the CPUs to be used are the RISC-V U54 application cores in the MSS. |
SOFT_DMA | Automatically instantiates a DMA engine on the FPGA fabric and be connected to the SmartHLS™ AXI interconnect along with the SmartHLS IP modules. Currently this option is not enabled, but will be in a future release. |
Please refer to Soc Integration Parameters in User-defined SmartDesign for more details on how to use this Tcl parameter.
