12.4.5 UART Receive Indication (UART_RX_IND)

The UART receive indication (UART_RX_IND) parameter allows the IS187x device to know about the external host MCU using the General Purpose I/O pin (GPIO) to indicate when there is need for sending the UART data to the IS187x device. This allows the IS187x device to turn off certain internal hardware (sleep) logic blocks, lowering current consumption, because there is no need to keep all hardware logic blocks active to properly receive UART communication. Use this parameter to enable or disable Low-power mode in the IS187x device. For more details on the Low-power mode enable/disable by this parameter, refer to the BM70/71 Bluetooth® Low Energy Module User’s Guide (DS50002542).
