32.2 Architectural Overview

Op amps allow the user to do signal conditioning without dedicated external circuitry. Op Amps in the device support Unity Gain mode without any external connection. The user can adjust the gain of the Op Amp by using external resistors and disabling Unity Gain mode. The Op Amp has an offset trim feature to reduce the effects of input offsets. The input signal and output signal of the Op Amp can be monitored by enabling an internal connection to ADC. It is possible to connect the DAC output to an Op Amp internally for test and calibration purposes.

Note: While Op Amp is not used, the user can disable it by clearing the AMPEN bit to ‘0’ to reduce the power consumption.
