12.5.1 Peer Device Trust Parameter

The peer device trust parameter allows the IS187x device to establish a connection with any peer device, or to only establish a connection with a peer device that has previously paired and bonded with the IS187x device.

Note: The IS187x device automatically adds to and maintains a list of paired/bonded peer devices (up to eight peer devices).
If the peer device trust parameter is set to only connect with devices in the bonded list and the list is not empty (contains previously bonded peer devices), then the IS187x device only accepts the connection requests from those specific peer devices and rejects all other requests. If the list is empty when a peer device tries to connect, then the IS187x device accepts the connection request. The newly added peer device is moved into the paired/bonded list, becoming a trusted peer device, depending on the setting in the established security parameter. For more details, refer to Establish Security Parameter.
Note: The peer device trust parameter only works when the device is in Auto Operation mode. In Manual Operation mode, the external host MCU controls the peer devices that are connected and paired with, so this parameter is not needed.
