29.4.6.2.1 Mode 0: PTGITM[1:0] = 0b00
(Continuous Edge Detect with Step Delay at Exit)
In this mode, the selected trigger input is continuously tested starting immediately
after the PTGWHI
or PTGWLO
command is executed. When
the trigger edge is detected, the command execution completes.
If the step delay counter is enabled, the step delay will be inserted (once) after the valid edge is detected and after the command execution.
If the step delay counter is not enabled, the command will complete after the valid edge is detected and execution of the subsequent command will commence immediately.
Note: The edge detect logic is reset after the command execution is
complete (i.e., prior to any step delay associated with the command). For the edge to be
detected, the edge should occur during the
PTGWHI
or
PTGWLO
command execution.Figure 29-3 shows an example timing diagram of Mode 0 operation.
