26.5.2 Timer Mode

When CCSEL = 0 and MOD[3:0] = 0000, the module functions as a timer. There are two basic Timer modes selected by the T32 bit (CCPxCON1[5]); they are shown in Table 26-4. In either mode, the timer can operate as a free-running timer/counter, operate synchronously with other modules or be triggered by other modules or external events.
