Bit 7 – TMSSL TX Modulator Stop Sequence Length

TMSSL defines the length of the stop sequence in symbols (Manchester mode) or bits (NRZ mode). Any value between 0..7 is valid. With one exception, the length of the stop sequence corresponds to the TMSSL value: “0b000” has the special meaning of length 8 (one full byte).

Bits 6:4 – TMSSH[2:0] TX Modulator Stop Sequence Hold Mode

TMSSHDescription
0The stop sequence is generated in pattern mode. The pattern which is configured in TMSSP is sent out. The actual number of symbols/bits must be configured in TMSSL.
1The stop sequence is generated in hold mode. The last symbol/bit is repeated TMSSL times.

Bits 3:0 – TMSSP[3:0] TX Modulator Stop Sequence Pattern

TMSSP defines the pattern of the stop sequence as symbols. If TMSSL is greater than ‘4’, the pattern will be repeated until TMSSL is reached. The pattern is ignored in hold mode (TMSSH = 1).
