2.1.18 ASB - Calculating a Threshold

This section describes the threshold‑conversion logic used by the ASB. These calculations are performed automatically by ASB and do not need to be implemented by the user unless raw ADC result values are monitored directly.

The scaling factor is determined by the selected prescaler range. For a list of prescaler range values, see the Prescaler Range section.

The value of each LSB is calculated by dividing VREF by 2¹². This calculation is always performed assuming 12‑bit resolution; masking is then applied to determine the effective resolution.
