3.9.17.1 SSMCR – SSM Control Register

Several options can be selected in the control register for how the chip is initialized by the state machines.
Name: SSMCR
Offset: 0x0E2
Reset: 0x00

Bit 76543210

Access R/WR/WR/WR/WR/WR/WR/WR/W
Reset 00000000

Bit 7 – SETRPB Sequencer State Machine Enable Transparent Path B

If this bit is set, the transparent receive path B output is automatically enabled and disabled by the sequencer state machine.

Bit 6 – SETRPA Sequencer State Machine Enable Transparent Path A

If this bit is set, the transparent receive path A output is automatically enabled and disabled by the sequencer state machine.

Bit 5 – SSMTAE Sequencer State Machine TX Ask-Shaping Enable

If this bit is set to ‘1’, the ask-shaping filter in the TX DSP is enabled during the initialization via TX DSP enable.

Bit 4 – SSMPVE Sequencer State Machine PV Enable

This bit must be set to ‘1’ if the PA voltage regulator needs to be switched on for TX initialization (5V application).

Bit 3 – SSMTPE Sequencer State Machine TX Preemphasis Enable

If this bit is set to ‘1’, the preemphasis filter in the TX DSP is enabled during the initialization via TX DSP enable.

Bit 2 – SSMTGE Sequencer State Machine TX Gauss Enable

If this bit is set to ‘1’, the Gauss filter in the TX DSP is enabled during the initialization via TX DSP enable.

Bit 1 – SSMTM Sequencer State Machine Temperature Measurement

This bit configures the start-up mode for temperature measurement. When this bit is set, SSMTX is ignored and the start-up is done appropriately for temperature measurement.

Bit 0 – SSMTX Sequencer State Machine TX

This bit selects whether initialization is done for transmission or for reception. If this bit is set to ‘1’, TX is selected. This influences the enabling of LNA or ADC block in the RF front end, for example.
