15.4.3.2.6 Double Update Center-Aligned PWM Mode
Double Update Center-Aligned PWM mode works identically to
Center-Aligned PWM mode, except that two interrupts and two data buffer updates occur per
PWM cycle. This mode is useful when the user wants to decrease the latency of a control
loop response. Note that this will eliminate the symmetrical nature of the Center-Aligned
PWM mode pulse, since the rising edge and falling edge of the pulse can be controlled
independently. Double Update Center-Aligned PWM mode is selected when MODSEL[2:0]
(PGxCON[2:0]) = 101
. Figure 15-11
shows the relationship between the control SFRs and the output waveform.
