5.22 Set Burst with Wrap in SPI Mode (SB)

The Set Burst with Wrap function is used in conjunction with the Fast Quad I/O Read, Word Quad I/O Read and DTR Fast Quad I/O Read instructions in SPI mode to access a fixed-length 8‑, 16‑, 32‑, or 64‑byte region within a 256‑byte page. In SPI mode, the Set Burst with Wrap operation is initiated by issuing the 8‑bit command 77H, followed by 24 dummy bits and 8 wrap configuration bits (W[7:0]). The functions of the wrap bits are defined in Table 5-12. Wrap bit W7 and the lower nibble W[3:0] are not used. Once bits W[6:4] are configured using the Set Burst with Wrap instruction, all subsequent Fast Quad I/O Read and Word Quad I/O Read operations use the selected W[6:4] setting to access the specified 8‑, 16‑, 32‑, or 64‑byte section within any page. To exit the wrap‑around function and return to normal read operation, the host must issue another Set Burst with Wrap instruction with W4 set to 1. The default value of W4 is 1 following power‑up or after a software or hardware reset.
