5.29 Read Manufacturer/Device ID in SPI Dual I/O (RMDSDIO)
The Read Manufacturer/Device ID in SPI Dual I/O (92H) instruction is used to identify the device manufacturer and device ID. The operation is initiated by issuing the 8-bit command 92H in SPI mode. After the command is accepted, the device switches to dual I/O operation on SIO[1:0] and receives a 3-byte address with a value of FFFFFFH, followed by four dummy clock cycles.
After the dummy clocks, the device outputs two bytes of data: the manufacturer ID (20H) and the device ID (17H). The data output continues until the operation is terminated by a low-to-high transition on CE#.
