5.28 Read Manufacturer/Device ID (RMDID)
The Read Manufacturer/Device ID (90H) instruction is supported in both SPI and QPI modes and is used to identify the manufacturer and Device ID. To execute this operation, the host drives CE# low and issues the RMDID command (90H), followed by three address bytes set to 000000H. After the address phase, the device outputs data on the falling edge of the SCK signal. The device returns two bytes of data: the manufacturer ID (20H) and the device ID (17H).
Data output continues until the operation is terminated by a low-to-high transition on CE#. See Figure 5-24 and Figure 5-25 for the RMDID instruction sequences in SPI mode and QPI mode, respectively.
