5.24 Set Read Parameters (SRP)

In QPI mode, the Set Read Parameters (C0H) instruction is used to configure the number of dummy clocks for the following operations: High Speed Read (0Bh) in QPI, Fast Quad I/O Read (EBh) in QPI, DTR Fast Read (0DH) in QPI, DTR Fast Quad I/O Read (EDH) in QPI, DTR Burst Read with Wrap in QPI and Read Burst with Wrap (0Ch) in QPI. This instruction is also used to configure the wrap length, in bytes, for the Read Burst with Wrap (0Ch) in QPI and DTR Burst Read with Wrap (0EH) in QPI operations. To execute the Set Read Parameters instruction in QPI mode, the host asserts CE# low, transmits the SRP command (C0H), followed by one byte of read parameter data (bits P[7:0]), and then brings CE# high.

After power‑up or a reset, the default wrap length is 8 bytes and the default number of dummy clocks is 4. Whenever the device transitions from SPI mode to QPI mode, the dummy clock configuration must be reprogrammed before issuing any 0Bh, EBh, or 0Ch read instructions.
