5.23 Read Burst with Wrap in SPI Mode

The Fast Quad I/O Read (FQIOR), DTR_Fast Quad I/O Read (DTR_FQIOR) and Word Quad I/O Read (WQIOR) instructions in SPI mode support Burst Read Wrap. To enable this functionality, the Set Burst with Wrap (77H) instruction must be issued before executing any FQIOR, DTR_FQIOR or WQIOR command.

When using FQIOR, DTR_FQIOR or WQIOR with burst wrap enabled, data are read sequentially while the internal Address Pointer automatically increments. Once the last byte of the defined burst length is reached, the Address Pointer wraps around to the first byte of the same burst region. All burst operations are aligned within the configured burst length. For example, with a burst length of eight bytes and a starting address of 06h, the read sequence proceeds as follows: 06h, 07h, 00h, 01h, 02h, 03h, 04h, 05h, 06h, and so on. This pattern repeats continuously until the operation is terminated by a low‑to‑high transition on CE#.
