5.66 Read Extended Address Register (REAR)

The Read Extended Address Register (REAR) command outputs the contents of the Extended Address register. This command is supported in both SPI mode and QPI mode.

To read the Extended Address register, the host drives CE# low and issues the REAR command (C8H) in SPI or QPI mode. The device then outputs register data on the falling edge of the SCK signal. The data output stream continues until the operation is terminated by a low-to-high transition on CE#.
