The device includes three status registers: Status Register 1, Status Register 2 and Status Register 3 (see Table 5-4, Table 5-5 and Table 5-6, respectively). These registers contain a combination of read-only Status bits and read/write Configuration bits. The read/write bits support both volatile and nonvolatile values. At power-up, and following either a hardware or software reset, the nonvolatile values are loaded into the corresponding status registers. While the device remains powered on, any modification to either the volatile or nonvolatile values take effect immediately, and the updated value is reflected in the corresponding status register. The Write Status Register instructions (Write Status Register 1 (WRSR1), Write Status Register 2 (WRSR2), Write Status Register 3 (WRSR3)) are used to update the volatile or nonvolatile values.
