5.73 Release From Power-Down (RPD)
The Release From Power-Down (RPD) and Read ID instruction is a multifunction command that can be used either to exit Power-Down mode or to read the device ID. To exit Power-Down mode, the host drives CE# low, issues the RPD command (ABH) in SPI or QPI mode, and then drives CE# high. After the TSBR1 interval, the device returns to Standby mode and is ready to accept the next instruction.
To read the device ID, the host drives CE# low, issues the RPD command (ABH) in
SPI or QPI mode, transmits three dummy bytes, and then reads the Device ID before
driving CE# high. The device outputs the device ID (18H) on
the falling edge of the SCK signal following the dummy bytes. The data output stream
continues until terminated by a low-to-high transition on CE#.
After completion of the operation, the device returns to Standby mode and is ready for the next instruction following the specified TSBR2 interval. Refer to Figure 5-64 and Figure 5-65 for the command sequences.
