5.6.9 Complement Protect (CMP)
The Complement Protect (CMP) bit is a read/write bit in Status Register 2. When
used in conjunction with the SEC, TB, BP2, BP1 and BP0 bits, it provides additional
flexibility for array protection. Setting CMP to 1 reverses the
protection set by the SEC, TB, BP2, BP1 and BP0 bits. For example, when CMP =
0, a top 64-Kbyte block may be protected while the remainder of the
array is unprotected. When CMP = 1, that top 64-Kbyte block becomes
unprotected, and the rest of the array becomes read-only. The default setting is CMP =
0.
