5.7.9 ECC

The on-chip ECC engine can be enabled or disabled using the ECC Enable bit. When ECC = 1, ECC is enabled for all Program and Read operations to ensure data integrity and improve device reliability. Program operations require aligned 16-byte granularity, while Read operations do not require alignment. When ECC is enabled, at least one aligned 16-byte block must be programmed. Each aligned 16-byte block must be programmed only once before an Erase operation to ensure proper ECC functionality.
