5.7.1 Busy

The Busy bit is a read-only status bit that indicates whether an internal Program or Erase operation is in progress. This includes operations performed on the memory array, security registers or nonvolatile status register values. When the Busy bit is set to 1, the device is performing an internal Program or Erase operation. When the Busy bit is set to 0, no internal Program or Erase operation is in progress.
